Book Week - We had an amazing writing workshop with the talented children’s author and illustrator, Allison Parkinson. The children had so much fun getting hands-on with some interesting objects that sparked Allison’s imagination and inspired her adventurous tales. It was such a fun way for them to see how stories come to life and even get creative with their own storytelling. We can’t wait to see how this experience fuels their love for reading and storytelling!

Book Week - Global Tales of Nature - We had an amazing time joining Michael Rosen, Sandra Agard, Emily Grazebrook, and Allen Fatimaharan as they shared captivating origin tales about mountains, forests, and skies. The stories took us on a global adventure, connecting us to nature in such a fun way! Plus, we had the chance to draw along with the talented illustrator Allen Fatimaharan, which added a creative twist to our storytelling session.

Science - We investigated and described the relationship between the amount of friction and the rate of deceleration.

Science - How do different surfaces affect the stopping distance of a toy car?

Science - Does mass affect friction? We used a force meter to measure and investigate how different surfaces and mass affect friction.

English - We recreated the arrival of a new person on ‘The Island’ as a still image in order to show the feelings of different characters in the story.
